Dr. Joyce Sibbett President/Instructor
Joyce Sibbett co-founded Dancing Moose Montessori School fifteen years ago with her daughter, Jennifer Duffield. She continues to work with Dancing Moose as president of the three schools that are currently running in West Valley, South Jordan, and Lehi, Utah. Joyce received her Ph.D. in education from the University of Utah and worked for 20 years as an education professor at Westminster College. She also received a MACTE credential in Montessori administration from Westminster's Institute of Montessori Innovation. She loves spending time with her family, doing outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and boating. Joyce is delighted to be part of the MACTE Rings of Knowledge program.

Jennifer Duffield
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration degree from Westminster College. She is co-founder of Dancing Moose Montessori School and oversees the day-to-day operations to ensure programmatic quality and consistency. Jennifer struggled for years finding and affording an accredited Montessori program for her teachers. She had dreams of creating a MACTE accredited program that prepared her teachers to be wildly successful in the classroom. She is honored to be a part of the Rings of Knowledge team that has created a practical, engaging and impactful program for teachers. She is passionate about supporting and continuing to innovate Rings of Knowledge to be an ideal teacher education program for adult learners.

Julie Wand M.Ed. Director/Instructor
Hello, let me introduce myself to you. Since 1982 when I first got introduced to the Montessori Method, I have been passionate not only about education for the little ones but also about helping adults understand and apply the science behind the method. My personal journey has been one filled with opportunities to learn, grow and most importantly to becoming a person filled with compassion for other people’s journeys. I love being surrounded by my family and friends and taking long walks in the Rocky Mountains.

Nancy Lindeman Instructor
Nancy Lindeman has been a special educator since 1978. She recently retired as the program director from the Institute for Montessori Innovation at Westminster College. She is Montessori EC, El I-II certified and holds a Montessori Administrators certificate. Nancy has founded and directed a Utah public Montessori charter school and two private Montessori schools. She currently serves on the AMS board of directors and teaches in AMS TEP’s.

Hello, my name is Emily Lee Grella. I am Montessori trained from 0-6 years of age and am currently finding my roots in the Nido (infant) community. My little family is my world. Within the home and extending out to my community I love sharing my Montessori passion.

Duna Strachan M.Ed. Instructor
Duna Strachan is happiest anywhere in nature with her family, such as on the beach with grandchildren Luna and Elliott. She began her career as a wildlife biologist traipsing through the Arizona desert studying birds of prey. Her attention turned to education when a graduate advisor said that the only way to save the planet is through education. She became involved in Montessori in 1983, founded Soaring Wings International Montessori School in Park City in 1987 and has organized the Utah Montessori Council events since 2004. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, a master’s in Montessori and is about to begin work on a doctorate in Montessori. She holds Infant/Toddler and Early Childhood Montessori credentials and has been a teacher trainer since 2002.
